Sir Kostadin Chorbadzhiyski, the founding father and winemaking icon of Kolarovo gave birth to Orbelia Winery in 2013. Orbelia is family owned boutique winery in Kolarovo, Bulgaria in the foothills of Belasitsa mountain.
Carrying the torch of family tradition of vintners and winemakers, Kostadin’s son Nikolay Chorbadzhiyski stepped in to give a new face to Orbelia. He is studying wine technology at University of Plovdiv. Nikolay is young, driven and knows the value of hard work. He seeks to explore his voice in the wine world and refuses to ride on his father’s glory. Nikolay is married to lovely Raya and together they have a beautiful boy named Kostadin Jr. A full time soccer mom Raya Chorbadzhiyski is a multitasker and a smart modern woman of Sofia. She oversees Orbelia’s marketing and flexes in routinely to grow Orbelia brand exponentially. As a young husband and wife team Raya & Nikolay feel the weight of family traditions and inheritance. They partner and strive to educate themselves on viticulture, business development and optimization of vineyard management.
