An evening with Steve & Jaimee Friedl, hosted at Frisby Cellars was the highlight of the week for OC hikers & wine lovers. Steve & Jaimee are wine connoisseurs and hikers, who literally got married on a hike at vista point in Trabuco Canyon. The couple travels extensively both for work and fun and are often spotted sipping their favorite wines in scenic Paso Robles wineries, nestled in the hills and embraced by rich vineyards.
Frisby Cellars located in Lake Forest is an award winning urban winery, crafting some of the premium wines with grapes sourced from Paso Robles and Santa Barbara county. The cellar is owned by Josh Frisby, an icon and a hero of Orange County Fire Department & Paramedics. Josh is super talented winemaker and when he is not working in his day job, he is busy crafting the delicious wines at Frisby.
Some of the award winning wines of Frisby Cellars are: Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles, Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Paso Robles, Pino Noir San Luis Obispo, Syrah Paso Robles & Merlot Paso Robles. One of my favorite there is Viognier Roussanne, a white blend of Viognier and Roussanne. A refreshing medium-bodied wine with layers of vibrant flavors and long after taste.
Wine tasting at Frisby is fun. Lindy & Austin hold up to the higher standards & etiquettes, as expected from sommeliers. These ladies are not only pleasant, they are super friendly and fun to talk to. Frisby has been graciously hosting Friday night wine tasting event and their newly renovated tasting room is tastefully decoration with beautiful props.
