Joseph’s visit to Bulgaria is dedicated to learn about Bulgarian wines, the indigenous grape varieties & terroir and upcoming wine industry that is heads down and producing far better quality wines in Eastern Europe. During communalism time behind the iron curtain, winemaking was monopolized & controlled by the state. Since the 80’s from the fall of communalism, Bulgarian Wines started floating in western world and have been making a niche in world markets.
