Born and raised in Sofia, Militza Zikatanova an icon of wine world is an executive & co-owner of Villa Melnik Family Winery. She oversees export & spends majority of her time in building Villa Melnik brand.
Militza is the daughter of beautiful & affluent parents, Lyubka & Nikola and takes a huge pride in her culture & heritage. As the saying goes fruit does not fall far from the tree. After graduating from American College of Sofia, Militza followed the foot steps of her father and went to The United States for higher education. Militza earned her BS in Business Administration & Marketing from Boston University in 2012. After staying in the States and working for corporate America in various marketing & brand management roles, Militza decided to head back home to her roots & joined the family business.
My wife and I were in Melnik this summer and we had the opportunity to meet The Zikatanova Family and Villa Melnik team. It was great chatting with you Militza and we hope to meet up sometime when you’re in our neck of the woods. Villa Melnik wines are front runner and we enjoyed visiting you guys.
